The Contentious Tax team are recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500 for their exemplary work. The team is now one of the largest in the UK, with 12 qualified lawyers (four Partners, a Director, three Senior Associates, two Associates, and two Solicitors) together with three trainees. Containing both solicitors and barristers, the team is able to advise on all contentious matters that pertain to tax.
Clients range from FTSE 100 companies to HNW and UHNW private individuals. The team's work mix includes disclosures to HMRC, civil enquiries, criminal enquiries, litigation before the tax tribunals and higher courts on appeal, professional negligence actions and restitution, rectification and rescission claims before the High Court and non-UK courts.
The team are looking to recruit an experienced, highly capable, and flexibly minded UK-qualified solicitor who will be able to work across this work mix.
