SalaryAs the Tax Manager you will be a key member of the finance team and of wider operations across the organisation. As the business engages in a diverse range of business operations, this creates an exciting and challenging environment with exposure to many different aspects of both direct and indirect taxes. This is a hybrid working role from their Ipswich office.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the main point of contact for all corporation tax and VAT matters
- Proactively manage interaction with HMRC; respond to enquiries, drive the narrative and negotiate agreement of tax returns
- Manage the timely and accurate production of tax figures and information for statutory accounts
- Take ownership of the quarterly VAT returns preparation and associated workings
- Prepare our corporation tax returns
- Advise on the tax implications of property transactions
- Involvement in all tax planning and associated risk management
- Utilise and design the capture of data required for tax purposes using a range of tools
- Support with other ad hoc tax issues and projects as and when required.
Key Skills:
- CTA qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified accountant
- Very strong attention to detail, specifically on tax issues and data required
- Excellent problem-solving skills using both logic and intuition to derive solutions.
- Strong organisational and decision-making skills
