Tax Manager

Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting one of our clients in the Education Sector in the recruitment of their next Tax Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to secure an opportunity with one our clients who have an excellent reputation in the market.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role is ideally suited to CTA qualified professionals, however Chartered Accountants with strong Tax experience will also be considered. My client would also be keen to speak to candidates making their first move from Accountancy Practice into industry.

A key focus for the successful candidate is to provide expert in-house tax support to finance and wider teams.

Key Duties

• Advising teams in relation to specific VAT liability and import/export issues
• Ensuring VAT compliance for the organisation and associated businesses
• Reviewing on-going procedures for compliance, and advising on any changes to regulations
• Liaising with the HMRC
• Responsible for determining appropriate VAT treatment on Capital Projects
• Supporting teams responsible for processing transactions
• Liaising with external Tax Advisors

Candidate

• Chartered Accountant – essential
• Experience in working with a large complex organisation – essential
• Strong working knowledge of VAT compliance & applying VAT legislation – essential
• Advanced Ms Excel – essential
