£23,893 per annum (SCP006), Fulltime 32.5 hours (Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm)

Due to the promotion of the current post-holder, the governors of Astmoor Primary School are looking for an outstanding and committed Teaching Assistant to join our well-established school. The role would be based predominantly in our Foundation Stage Class and would include both 1-1 support for pupils with additional needs and whole class support.

The start date for this position will be as soon as possible.

Visits to the school will take place: Wednesday 27th March at 4pm and Wednesday 3rd April at 2pm

Interviews will take place: Week commencing 29th April 2024

The successful candidate will:

• Meet level 3 Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent
• Be intuitive to the needs of children
• Have knowledge and experience of teaching phonics
• Demonstrate initiative and creativity
• Be able to work collaboratively with other staff in the bases
• Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
• Have high expectations of all children
• Have a genuine passion for transforming the lives of children who are at risk and vulnerable
• Have a proven track record of success in managing children with additional SEMH needs
• Be determined and resilient
• Be responsive to the differing needs of children
