We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant school in Newham. As an integral part of our team, you will have the chance to work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, providing essential support to help them thrive both academically and personally.
SEN TA Job Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting learning materials to meet their needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor student progress and identify areas for development.
- Promote independence and confidence in students, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
SEN TA Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEND.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students in a classroom setting.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs would be advantageous.
