Open-ended/Full-time, 35 hours per week. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Fellow in Cancer Biology and Precision Oncology. The Opportunity: The successful candidate will join a dynamic team running a newly established online MSc programme in Cancer Biology and Precision Oncology (CBPO) which was launched in September 2022. The programme has been created by world leading experts at the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre, Institute of Genetics & Cancer (IGC) and at the Biomedical Sciences Teaching Organisation and has been very successful since its launch. The post holder will contribute to the delivery and assessment of courses as well as coordinate and assess final year dissertations. They will also review and develop current courses and be involved in the design of new electives, focussing on incorporating innovative teaching materials and assessment methods. The position offers fantastic opportunities for personal professional development and to interact with a wide array of colleagues conducting cutting edge research within IGC, as well as delivering outstanding teaching. The Teaching Fellow will sit within the Deanery of Biomedical Sciences and the Biomedical Teaching Organisation but day to day the post will be directed by the Programme Director within IGC. Your skills and attributes for success: Applicants must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject, and/or demonstrable experience of teaching in Higher Education in relevant subjects at Master's level Specialist knowledge in Cancer cell biology, genetics and or translational oncology is highly desirable. Experience in using virtual learning environment such as Blackboard Learn is desirable. A passion for creating innovative teaching materials and assessment approaches is desirable Experience in delivering online education is desirable.
