Are you a Team Leader, who wants to make a difference and could lead a team and help support someone with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism?
At LDA, we support adults and young people who have needs attributed to Learning Disability, Autism or Mental Health conditions with associated complex needs. Our goal is to empower them to integrate more within their community whilst maintaining their independence and personal choice. We are also committed to the continuing development of all our team members, so we can empower them to lead fulfilling careers in care.
Key Responsibilities
The specific duties for each Team Leader role will be clearly defined by the Service Manager and will depend upon the needs of the individual client, however they will typically include some or all the following responsibilities:- Prepared to oversee a fantastic team eventually, supplying great communication and support.
- Role model excellence in your services, embedding Person Centred practice.
- Demonstrate exemplary standards of professional practice and behaviours always demonstrating Bespoke LD & A core values.
- Strong people manager and people skills.
- Organised and IT competent.
- Have a positive attitude to enhancing people's lives.
- Be approachable.
- Empathetic to individual’s needs & communication difficulties
- Must be able to stay calm & responsive in potentially stressful situations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Knowledge of working with Learning Disabilities and Autism
- Experience managing a team
- Minimum 2 years experience within health and social care
- Previous experience of supervising staff
- Ability to deal with conflicts
- Ability to deal with behaviours which may challenge
- An understanding of safeguarding and ability to identify safeguarding issues
- A full UK drivers license is essential *
