Safe Haven is a mental health crisis intervention service which provides telephone, email, or face to face support and a “safe space” to adults with mental health diagnosis during evenings and weekends.
Our aims are to understand why someone is at crisis point and work with them to take steps to reduce the crisis and reduce the need for emergency intervention.

You will manage a team of Mental Health Recovery Workers who support individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
You will support your team to achieve their potential through regular staff supervision and coaching and appraisals
You will be involved in the recruitment of staff for your team
You will attend partnership meetings and foster excellent relations with partner agencies
Increase presence of service in the local area to help win tenders and maintain current contracts
Prioritise workloads and referrals
Facilitation and Monitoring of agreed client support
You will support your team where needed with their workload
Chair team meetings, reflective practice, and ensure accurate minutes are maintained
Ensure an effective and timely response to all complaints and safeguarding issues taking appropriate action
Provide reports and data where needed
Be part of the on – call service
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Previous experience in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential, and you will have a real passion for wanting to work with people who require mental health support. Your values will match ours, you will be committed to helping others and enjoy the real job satisfaction that this brings. Previous experience in people management is essential.
Clear verbal and written English and great communication skills
Basic IT and keyboard skills
Polite, assertive manner
Passion for working in a client/customer facing role
Have an interest and genuine concern for mental health and related issues such as homelessness, addiction, etc.
Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies
