The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and organised planning professional with significant experience of preparing development plan policies and in their implementation. To lead the Local Plans team in the final stages of the local plan examination. The team are also responsible for preparing three Supplementary Planning Documents, to support the Plans implementation.
Who are we looking for?
You will have experience of managing a Local Plans team and dealing with major and more complex planning policy issues. You will hold a degree in Town and Country Planning and have full membership of the RTPI. You must be able to show that you have a sound knowledge and clear understanding of current law and guidance related to development planning, and an ability to deal with complex planning issues and produce reasoned recommendations supported by evidence.
You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people, exercising tact and diplomacy and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with an ability to work to tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
