You will be joining our vital Road Safety Support Unit (RSSU) team who support the detection and prosecution of road traffic offences. These can range from collisions to officer witnessed offences and other road traffic incidents including speeding & red light violations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and guidance of staff. You will be able to demonstrate how you motivate staff to work together as a team. You will have excellent communication skills, work accurately under pressure and prioritise your own workload in order to achieve deadlines to ensure that all enquiries and complaints are satisfactorily progressed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to queries from members of the public, other departments within the organisation and/or outside agencies.
In this role, your main responsibilities will be:
- To have responsibility for the management and guidance of staff within the Camera Processing Unit.
- To ensure that all enquiries and complaints are satisfactorily progressed.
- To respond to queries from members of the public, other departments within the organisation or other outside agencies.
- To prioritise and manage workloads.
- To ensure the effective creation, maintenance and updating of a variety of computerised databases.
- Analyse statistical data and produce reports.
- To be responsible for correspondence relating to the office.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
- You will need experience of working with computers, especially Microsoft packages, including Excel.
- The ability to motivate, develop, support and manage staff.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, with both small and large groups of people.
- An ability to motivate staff to work together as a team.
- Experience of administration work is essential.

This role has been identified as a blended role.
The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
