Job summary: To support the management of the Warden’s team to ensure the team delivers its overall objectives.
Essential functions of the Job
- Ensure the team provide efficient and effective patrolling and visitor engagement across the Estate;
- Provide ‘on the ground’ guidance and support to the team;
- Provide first response to incidents and events such as visitor accidents, turbulent weather, criminal activity, general and medical emergencies;
- Lead on managing incidents, including enforcing the Windsor Great Park Regulations and relevant sections of the Countryside Rights of Way Act (CROW);
- Liaise with and assist event organisers to ensure all conditions of the licence are met and where appropriate enforced;
- Ensure effective communication with emergency services and other stakeholders in connection with activities/incidents;
- Proactively communicate on a regular basis with stakeholder and user groups, for example military units, conservation groups and sports clubs;
- Ensure the team complete incident and accident reports to the highest standards;
- Ensure the team observe safe systems of work at all times;
- Lead on visitor correspondence including banning orders;
- Support the Team Supervisor in ensuring effective communication to the Estate regarding events;
- Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) regulations;
- Ensure effective management of the CCTV system; and
- Ensure the timely drafting and submission of the Wardens’ Monthly Report.
Experience required:
- Security and/or visitor services experience;
- Knowledge of services provided by security and emergency organisations;
- Knowledge of relevant security techniques and equipment;
- Experience in Team Leader role would be an advantage;
- Sound knowledge of GDPR including use of CCTV;
- Report preparation;
- Incident investigation.
