Based at Oak Trees, Attleborough and Outreach Contracts
Are you interested in a social care role where you can make a real difference? We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate and motivated individual to lead a team and to provide care and support to adults with learning disabilities. You would be joining a highly skilled and talented team rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We would particularly welcome applications from experienced care professionals or those looking for a new challenge in this extremely rewarding role.
At Empanda, we offer two care and support services to adults with a learning disability – Respite Care and Supported Living.
Respite Care – Based on the outskirts of Attleborough, Oak Trees is a purpose-built building staffed 24/7, offering short-term accommodation for up to four adults at a time, with over 100 adults staying each year.
Supported Living – Offers personalised support to people living in their own home.
About the role
As Team Leader, you will help create, maintain, monitor and develop high standards of practice within the staff team who support the provision of a high-quality service to users and carers. You will develop and supervise your team members through regular 1-2-1s, coaching and appraisals and take an active part in team meetings to ensure open and honest discussions that enhance best practice.
You will have a good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and reporting systems, as well as a good knowledge and competence in the use of digital care planning systems. You will be required to be flexible with your working times to meet the needs of the service and be part of a designated team to provide an out-of-hours ‘on-call’ service for Oak Trees and outreach contracts as part of a rota.
Care and support also covers health and wellbeing, with our team supporting customers to make and attend appointments with health care professionals, with safety and security, and with establishing and maintaining relationships with friends and family. You will also provide support in accessing facilities within the community, including leisure activities and in promoting independence. Having the use of a car, a full driving licence and Business Class 1 Insurance is essential for this role. On joining the Empanda team, you will be rewarded for the valuable job you do through our competitive package of ‘We Value You’ benefits and rewards including competitive salary, holiday and sick pay entitlement; workplace pension; access to discounted rates for the Hospital Saturday Fund Health Plan; free and unlimited access to a variety of assistance helplines and services; monthly staff draw; Refer a Friend to Work scheme; training and much more. If you share the Empanda values – accountability, commitment, compassion and integrity and our ethos of offering person-centred care and support of the highest quality to adults with a learning disability, then we would love to hear from you.
