Team Manager - Domestic Abuse Service
Location: Redbridge
Reports to: Reach Out Service Manager
Salary: 52,116 - 55,155 plus 3,000 R&R bonus
Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by Domestic Abuse? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team at Redbridge's Domestic Abuse Service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day duties in Reach Out, including screening, safety planning, and decision-making on all Domestic Abuse contacts.
- Case management of Domestic Abuse contacts not meeting the threshold for CPAT/Adults services.
- Manage a duty rota, ensuring safe and robust allocation of new cases.
- Ensure prompt and sensitive handling of contacts from the public and professionals, prioritizing victim/survivor safety.
- Lead, motivate, nurture, and manage a team to deliver the Reach Out Domestic Abuse service.
- Support team members in home visits to victims/survivors, as required.
- Attend weekly Spotlight Referrals and Risk Assessment meetings.
- Act as the MARAC lead for Reach Out and oversee all cases being taken to MARAC.
- Provide expertise and specialist guidance to staff and professionals, contributing to risk reduction and victim safety.
- Ensure effective service delivery, timely case handling, and manage complex cases.
- Contribute to the development of best practice, policies, and procedures within the Reach Out service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and build strong multi-agency relationships.
Requirements:
- Recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in front-line statutory child protection settings.
- Experience supervising and managing staff and social work students.
- Ability to manage complex cases and support colleagues in statutory requirements.
- Sound knowledge of legislation, current research, and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to practice development.
