About the service
The targeted Early Help Service consists of 3 Team Managers, 6 senior practitioners, and 36 Family Support workers. The workforce is very stable, motivated, committed and enthusiastic. The service has manageable caseloads at approximately 25 children per Family Support worker currently with consistently strong assessment timeliness. The service is moving into integrated locality family hubs and has strong relationships with MASH, the Assessment teams and the wider partnership.
About you
Haringey are looking for an experienced Team Managers with a strong background in Early Help and Frontline Social work. You should be confident with managing teams, understand thresholds and Direct work with families. You will need to understand the supporting families agenda and have knowledge of the wider Early Help system.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring timely and effective decision making, case allocation and effective multi-agency working.
- Empowering and inspiring our Family Support workers to get the best outcomes for children.
- Being an active member of the senior leadership group in the wider Early Help service.
- Accountability for the performance of your team, delivering regular reflective supervision and have the ability to motivate your team to achieve excellence and supporting families outcomes.
- Working with in family hubs and becoming an advocate for the service in the locality, building strong relationships with schools, health and the voluntary sector.
Essential requirements of this Social Work Team Manager role:
Ability to provide leadership to the team
Ability to plan and manage own and others workload
Ability to supervise staff, to assess professional competence and enable further professional development in others
Social Work qualified, with valid Social Work England registration
