Now, let’s get into the role!

Position Overview:

To lead a team in the successful recovery of compensation for our clients who have fallen victim to APP fraud or who have a valid regulatory complaint, meeting all relevant company KPIs whilst ensuring the effective leadership and development of the team.

The Manager plays a pivotal role within CEL by embodying and advancing our core values.

Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for the team and any queries they have
• Manage the day-to-day activities of your team including planning and organising team workload, ensuring the team is hitting targets and SLAs, managing all team absences
• Audit and review your team files along with letters of complaint and Financial Ombudsman forms
• Analyse and review MI reports to provide employees with feedback and assess team’s overall performance
• Provide all team training
• Setting targets, deadlines and SLAs for team
• Review team files for quality and assurance purposes
• Coach and support team to maximise productivity

Finance

• Raise payments to clients
• Oversee billing and debt reports for team
• Deal with any unallocated payments and unallocated post

Compliance

• Ensure the team is compliant with the firm’s closure process of files
• Ensure the team adhere to the workflow
• Be the first stage handler for complaints completing a full investigation when complaints a raised within your team

Data Analytics

• Have a strong experience of analysing data
• Analyse and review management information reports to make informed decisions
• Reviewing files for progression and prospects
• Delivering teams training

Any other duties as determined by management

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in a legal team leader/managerial role, preferably in a high-volume department
• Confident in supervising a team
• Experience in delivering training
• Professional and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record of setting and managing team targets and SLAs
• Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to plan, manage performance and successfully coach and develop a team
• Experience in developing team members and effectively using management information to manage team’s performance and workloads
• Resilient and able to work in a constantly changing environment
• Pro-active and makes decisions, even if difficult or unpopular
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of all detailed aspects of the department, how it functions, and how that contributes to the success of the firm
• Excellent IT skills and proclaim experience (desirable)
