Technical Accounting Manager (Part-Time)

Title:Technical Accounting Manager - Part time (3-days a week)

Salary: GBP90,000 - GBP100,000 (pro-rated for 3 days) + bonus & benefits

Location: 90% remote, with occasional travel into the London office

Our client is a US listed multinational Energy group headquartered in London with operations across the world. They are currently seeking a Technical Accounting Manager with a prior Big 4/Top10 audit background to join the team on a part-time basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Management of the group consolidation process (including approval of all accounting entries).
• Preparation of listed entity financial statements; ideally within US GAAP, IFRS and SOX 404 practical applications.
• Managing and overseeing the audit process, including agreeing timetables and ensuring timely delivery of audit information.
• Lead and manage the anticipated transition project from US GAAP to IFRS, including review of implementation of IFRS within the existing ERP (MS D365)
• Preparation of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management.
• Provision of additional explanations and analysis as required.
• Researching Technical Accounting issues and preparation of accounting memos for non-routine commercial transactions.
• Assistance in ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CPA) with large public accounting firm experience; ideally with exposure to the shipping or energy industry;
• Prior Big 4/Top 10 audit is essential
• Strong Technical Accounting skills including knowledge of reporting under IFRS/US GAAP;
• Robust knowledge of accounting standards, financial compliance and focus on financial control and stewardship
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and effective time management
