Technical Designer

Design Technician required to join a leading roofing and cladding specialist located in Essex. The suitable candidate will have a great background working in a similar sector (i.e. roofing, cladding, SFS, rainscreen etc.) and be motivated to join a growing company where they will assist in developing a technical department.

This company currently outsource their design related work, however are now in a position to take on-board a design / technical candidate to join their team to create technical drawings, provide advice, and help build a technical department.

Technical Designer Position Benefits

• Salary 35,000 - 50,000 (dependant on experience)
• 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays

• 6-month probation period

Technical Designer Position Overview

• CAD design
• Technical submittals
• Document control for the specific projects
• Dealing with specialists in wind calcs, structural calcs etc.
• Initially starting as the sole Designer with the vision to grow a team around you in the future
• Implement new ideas

Technical Designer Position Requirements

• Proven relatable experience in roofing or cladding
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have good IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office software as a minimum.
• Qualification in a construction related subject is advantageous.
• Ability to work well on your own
• Entrepreneurial mindset, looking to grow a division
