Salary: £64,084 to £75,381 per annum + £5,000 car allowance
Location: More London Place, London - hybrid role working 2 days per week in the office, 2 days conducting site visits and 1 day from home
Hours: 36 per week

We're seeking an experienced Technical Fire Compliance Manager to support the fire safety and wellbeing of Clarion residents and to support the safety of the buildings they occupy.
About the role
Working as part of our Development team, you'll report into the Director of Design, Technical and Innovation and will deliver first class specialist and technical service to the business providing assurance of practice and standards for statutory compliance.
As our technical expert and lead in compliance, we'll look to you to provide design advice for new developments, making sure that projects conform to all relevant statutory requirements and our Employer's Requirements for fire safety. You'll also ensure that Clarion maintains compliance against the HRRB License requirements and the statutory requirements of fire safety imposed through the Building Safety Act.
You will be responsible for providing fire safey advice to technical teams delivering key risk operations and will be subject matter experts providing assurance of practices for operational staff in:
Development
Building Safety Management
Fire Risk Assessment
Safety File Management
Building Safety Act Compliance
Identification of non-conformances
Fire Safety Training (internal staff)
Design of new buildings
You'll also be responsible for:
Liaising with third parties and government bodies to ensure statutory compliance with future legislation and comply with practice to be made statute or guidance from the DLUCH. Inform duty holders of the changes, requirements and monitoring needed to ensure completion.
Reviewing all core government documents for fire safety insurance compliance and provide technical updates/bulletins as necessary to the Development Directorate.
Preparing and updating Clarions Employers Requirements pertaining to fire including our Fire Safety Design Brief, appointment documents and scope of services for fire consultants.
Supporting teams in reviewing fire strategies on individual schemes
Monitoring and updating Clarions HRRB tracker.
Carrying out site audits on live projects.
About you
The ideal candidate will join us with sound experience of working in a construction, building or facilities management role and environment, preferably experienced in the social housing or residential management sector. You'll already have a European Diploma or Equivalent in Fire Safety as well as a IFE Graduate Membership.
We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of housing construction, building pathology and how fire systems work in design construction and assets. You'll also need strong interpersonal skills including influencing and developing relationships with stakeholders, duty holders, and external agencies.
