We are seeking a Technical Lead to join our Technology team. The successful candidate will report to the Group Director of Technology and will be responsible for building and then leading the software development function.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to recruit, organise and then lead a team of software developers as it develops and maintains Hanson Wade’s software, systems, and customer-facing digital products across the Beacon portfolio. The Technical Lead will provide technical supervision and guidance and will develop and maintain the development processes and working practices for the team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Software Architecture and Design Patterns, at least 5 years of experience with C# and .Net Framework, and extensive experience with the Microsoft Azure Platform. Strong database skills with SQL Server experience and the ability to work on Full Stack Applications are also required. Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency with DevOps Processes and systems on the Azure Platform are essential.
In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will be a creative thinker and problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will have the ability to build trust and strong relationships with diverse teams within and outside the organisation and will be self-motivated, well-organised, and detail oriented.
Required Skills
- Strong command of Software Architecture and Design Patterns – CQRS, Observable Patterns.
- At least 5 years of experience with C# and .Net Framework
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Platform – Azure Functions, Storage APIs, Service Bus APIs
- Strong Database skills with SQL Server experience
- Ability to work on Full Stack Applications including frontend skills like TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban or SCRUM) as a development manager.
- Must be proficient with DevOps Processes and systems on Azure Platform

- This is a permanent, hybrid position with a minimum requirement of one day a week in our Victoria, London based office.
