Technical Manager

Our client, a leading name in the food and drink industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Manager to join their UK team. In this pivotal role, you will be the sole leader of the technical department, acting as the key liaison between technical teams at all sites and maintaining robust relationships across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage the technical department, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between all technical teams.
-Maintain and nurture strong relationships with all clients, ensuring their technical requirements are met and exceeded.
-Provide expert support during customer and technical audits.
-Collaborate closely with the New Product Development (NPD) team to ensure technical compliance and innovation.
-Ensure all sites are compliant with retailer standards and maintain British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards, keeping them audit-ready at all times.
-Conduct regular site visits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in a similar role within the food and drink industry.
-Strong understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and BRC standards.
-Essential qualifications in HACCP and Food Safety.
-Experience working with retailers and understanding their specific requirements.
-Flexibility regarding previous product experience, but a strong technical background is a must.
