Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000neg + Company performance bonus

The role of the Technical Manager - Glazing & Cladding Systems will involve:

• Technical Manager role dealing with a range of structural glazing, aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling rooflight & atrium systems
• Dealing with external clients consisting of architects, design managers, Technical Managers, consultants and subcontracted engineers & designers
• Internally liaising with the designing, production & project delivery team, providing practical assistance and technical advice
• Supporting with technical assessments & calculations to ensure compliant quotations are delivered accurately and in a timely manner
• Responsible for the technical submittals to clients, being the main point of contact for clients’ façade consultants and Technical Managers
• Liaise with and manage external teams of façade engineers & specialist window, door & curtain walling designers

The ideal applicant will be a Technical Manager - Glazing & Cladding Systems with:

• Must have extensive knowledge of architectural glazing and be able to specify aluminium products such as: fixings, bracketry, passive fire protection
• Must have a working knowledge of the Building Safety Act as well as regulations and guidelines surrounding structural & fire requirements for aluminium façades
• Must be proficient with CAD software and other design tools to create detailed drawings
• Either possess a MSc in façade engineering or be willing to work towards achieving this with company support
• Exceptional communication skills
• Effective time management and organisational skills
