Unisys are seeking an IT profession who wants to drive their career in the direction of Project Management by working as part of a delivery team supporting Public Sector clients in the UK and Europe, particularly to the Justice, Law Enforcement and Border Security industry segment.
This is a hands on role where wee are looking for someone who will assist other members of the Project Management team in the delivery of projects, including bids and business initiatives, to ensure they are delivered on time, to budget and to the clients satisfaction.
The Role
Supporting the project management team in understanding the clients agenda and issues.
Liaise closely with Project Lead(s) to ensure all project planning and reporting is understood and accurate, and any risks and/or issues are highlighted.
Providing project office administration support on projects by maintaining project documents and other information in the project repository.
Take an active role in discussions about potential solutions and next steps.
Effectively manage selected key project deliverables and dependencies in line with project schedule.
Reporting, status updates, and communicating project progress.
Act as an escalation point for support team members.
Develop and implement documented SOP’s, change control procedures and Release Notes.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Able to demonstrate a keen interest in developing a career in Project Management.
A good understanding of project management processes, terms, and program planning principles.
Competent in Office software (including excel and PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to quickly understand new concepts and principles.
Task ownership and ability to manage time effectively across multiple activities.
Strong financial and analytical skills.
Building strong collaborative and influential relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Effective decision making and strong verbal and written communication.
Flexible and positive about change.
