The Role
- Offering mechanical power transmission solutions including industrial gearboxes, mechanical screw jacks as well as couplings, brakes, clutches, toque limiters and linear guides and bearings
- Primarily selling to design engineers for machine builders and OEM’s within the food & beverage, printing, energy, materials handling, marine, transport sectors as well as via end users and distribution.
- This is a highly technical role that will include solution selling and offering the highest level of customer service to existing key accounts
- 70% focus on key account management and 30% of business development
- 50% home or company office based and 50% travel to meet clients
The Candidate
- Apprentice trained Mechanical / Engineering qualification as a minimum, ideally HNC/HND or above
- Good working knowledge of power transmission systems, gearboxes, motors or other related equipment
- Ability to understand complex technical applications and concepts and present them in a clear and compelling manner
The role would suit an existing Sales Engineer, account manager, sales manager, business development manager or applications engineer. Full training will be given and there is opportunity to progress into the sales manager in the short/medium term.
