A rare and exciting new role has arisen reporting directly into the Sales Director, for a Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing and growing revenue year on year, by identifying, securing and closing business opportunities. The Sales Manager will convert leads and opportunities into profitable revenue, and support and implement company strategy and solutions to meet these opportunities. The role will be a key point of contact for managing a team to grow existing customers and prospects, responding to enquiries and carrying out demonstrations and pre-sales qualification as may be required. The role will liaise regularly with other members of the commercial team, and colleagues from all relevant departments.
Responsibilities
• The Sales Manager will help the team to identify opportunities for new business development through following up on leads and conducting research on target clients through leading and training the team.
• New business generation by meeting potential clients to understand needs and providing a solution the their needs.
• Qualifying and quoting to meet client`s needs.
• Supporting distribution and channel sales.
• Working to achieve team sales targets.
• Developing sales to new and existing clients.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships.
• Providing excellent pre and post-sales support.
• Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both, client and company needs.
• Management of client quotations and accounts as assigned.
• Delivery of pre-sales technical assistance and product awareness to clients.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of the competition and our position in the market space.
• Use appropriate company systems and software.
• Support activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
• Liaise and feedback to members of the commercial team and relevant colleagues.
• Adhere and comply with all company policies, procedures and processes.
• Managing the entire sales process to close new business opportunities
• Providing product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests
• Submitting orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engine
• Providing specialized training to client staff as required
• Complying with legal requirements by keeping abreast of existing and upcoming legislation and advising the customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements
• Preparing sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends
• Contributing to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short term and long-range issues and recommending options and courses of action
