If so, we are retained by a leading manufacturer of construction and infrastructure products who, due to expansion, are seeking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to drive the growth of a specialist composite product range in the Midlands and South-Central regions.

The Role
As a Technical Sales Manager, the key focus for your role is to research and gain introductions to clients, designers, contractors, and supply chains for projects. The aim is to identify and demonstrate potential solutions and services adding value to projects and utilising all appropriate aspects of products and services available. Whilst the role could be based on a home office or our Client’s office, there is a requirement to travel throughout the south of the UK and may include overnight stays.
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for growing existing markets whilst developing new relationships and project requirements with a variety of industry sectors which could include warehousing, utilities, rail, food & beverage production, and data centres.
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in promoting technical products and solutions for projects.
The main duties of your role will include.
- Research and establish new specifications and identify potential projects.
- Produce quotations.
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations utilising the engineering department where appropriate.
- Liaise with Consultants, Designers, Engineers & Contractors
- Assist with the formation and implementation of department sales and marketing strategies.
- Representing the business at Trade Shows, Exhibitions, and Networking events.
- Present CPD-style seminars
- Technical meetings and site visits
- Maintain and update the CRM system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
- Proven experience within the construction supply sector
- Proven track record in establishing new business relationships.
- Experience in both winning and defending specifications (Essential)
- Experience in conducting CPD Presentations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to travel throughout the UK with nights away.
