Our client, a leading fresh food producer in the UK, has a rich history rooted in Yorkshire alongside an entrepreneurial spirit. Due to rapid growth, the have created a brand new role as a Group Supply Chain Manager to join their experienced Supply Chain team based in East Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Technical Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the Supply Chain to ensure adherence to high standards of hygiene and manufacturing practices. Your responsibilities will include supplier approval, managing raw material specifications, and mentoring the ingredient technologists to meet their KPIs. You will also liaise with various departments, customers, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and compliance.
The Person:
The primary emphasis of this role lies in people management. We are in search of a dedicated individual who excels in a collaborative setting and finds fulfilment in coaching and mentoring. Personality plays a crucial role, therefore we're seeking a candidate who is approachable and confident at conducting performance appraisals for their small team. You'll be overseeing a youthful and stable team hungry for guidance and support, as well as being the primary point of contact on-site.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Degree in Food Science/Science preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the Food sector, ideally with ingredients
- Minimum 1 year of people management experience
- Effective communicator with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in mentoring/coaching is desirable
Details:
- Office based 4 days a week with 1 day working from home
- Onsite in East Yorkshire
- £40,000-£45,000
