Salary - Competitive plus up to 20% bonus

As Supply Chain Manager you'll be accountable for the people, performance, operations and compliance at our amazing Bristol Home Delivery Centre.

You'll directly control the operational performance of your Home Delivery Centre with budgets of up to £7m and teams doing up to 2500 customer deliveries a week rising to 4000 during our busy periods. Empowering and coaching 2 direct reports (Operations Managers) who will oversee 5 First Line Managers and 75 colleagues consisting of drivers, gas, specialist, warehouse and support colleagues. You'll also manage the relationships with delivery and agency partners and together you'll make sure your varied teams of warehouse, transport and technical colleagues are always striving to deliver the best service for our customers.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Overseeing the running of the site ensuring operational activity achieved to target; monitoring and reporting on practical issues and solutions
• Acting as a role model and leader to the site team of leaders, delivery and installation, stock and customer administration colleagues
• Implementing and positively contributing to change programmes including Levelling Up initiatives
• Woking closely with our onsite delivery partners
• Overseeing, training and mentoring delivery partners and agency teams on site
• Acting as a coach for Operations Manager and First Line Managers and celebrating the success of all colleagues on the site
• Ensuring compliance to statutory Health and Safety requirements

You will need:

• Leadership experience in a fast-moving distribution or customer focussed delivery operation
• Demonstrable role model, coaching and mentoring skills experience
• Budgetary and cost management experience
• To be an excellent communicator, negotiator, and influencer at all levels

It would be great if you had:

• Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Transport manager background
• Health and Safety qualification eg IOSH
