Job Description:
Are you an experienced Supply Chain Manager looking for an opportunity to work with a successful leader in the Aerospace industry? The successful candidate will manage and strategically develop the Supply Chain to deliver materials and services in line with Leonardo requirements. You will also lead the Material Supply Function within MP&C to achieve company and customer requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
- Measure and improve the performance of all suppliers using KPI’s and launching Supplier improvement activities. Initiate and manage formal supplier escalation process as required & Implement recovery plans on build stop items.
- Responsible for the strategic development of new and existing suppliers to ensure sufficient Supply Chain capacity.
- Hands on management of the Material Supply Team with responsibility to ensure materials and services to deliver in line with company requirements.
- Support supplier selection and manage the new product introduction phases of manufacture within the external supply base.
- Proven People / team management skills & Personal development while supporting team members to achieve the best results.
- Responsibility for Working Capital Reduction activity within the Supply Chain including realigning purchase orders to achieve working capital targets.
- Act as escalation point for Material Supply Team and deal with all Leonardo functions to resolve delivery issues.
- Management of all offload suppliers using KPI’s to Measure and improve the performance and launching Supplier improvement activities. Initiate and manage formal supplier escalation process as required .Implement recovery plans on build stop items.
- Global Supply Chain interface to highlight escalate and support in resolving delivery in line with in line with company requirements.
- QN management / Blocked stock management control & resolution to enable product to be made available to support requirements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Professional qualification CIPS, HNC or equivalent, with experience in an aerospace environment.
- Practical knowledge and proven hands on Supply Chain experience.
- Good product awareness and excellent manufacturing base knowledge.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships at senior level with suppliers and within Leonardo.
- Proven problem solving and issue resolution skills.
- Proven leadership skills and clear vision and focus on direction, managerial skills at functional level and within multi-functional teams.
- Analytical skills in order to develop the strategic vision.
- Supplier relationship building and good negotiation and influencing skills.
- Able to effect change, influence others – tenacious and resolute.
- Ability to travel within the UK and abroad when required.
- Awareness of Project Management and Budget Control.
- Good understanding of Quality tools & techniques and Business improvement techniques.
