Technology Apprentice - L4 DevOps Apprenticeship
You will be working in Platform Engineering which is responsible for designing and supporting the infrastructure that underpins our Front Office, Enterprise Engineering and End-User functions. Infrastructure, Architecture & DevOps, InfoSec, End User Technology.
You will be studying the Level 4 DevOps Apprenticeship alongside JustIT and will be given full support in achieving the qualification, including:

• 1-day per week allocated to spend working on your apprenticeship standard.
• Rotation through different technical teams to address different areas of need.
• Access to internal training programmes to help develop your skillset.
• A dedicated line manager, mentor, and buddy, all of which will help you settle into the business and achieve your goals.
• Any other support necessary to help achieve your apprenticeship qualification.

Please note this is a fixed-term apprenticeship role offered as part of Man Group's School Leaver Programme, targeting motivated students aged 17-23, with the potential to move into a full-time role following the completion of the programme.
We are unfortunately unable to sponsor visas for this programme or provide this opportunity to individuals who already have a similar qualification at a higher level than the apprenticeship associated with this programme.
The Role - AQS
Your initial placement will be with the AQS, a primary support team in Man Technology, with the opportunity to rotate into other teams that align with your program's pathway. It is a busy team covering a very wide range of technologies and departments, fixing things where possible, escalating to more specialised teams as necessary.
Responsibilities
The Technology Apprentice in AQS is expected to apply the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they gain from their Level 4 DevOps Apprenticeship Qualification to complete the following responsibilities:

• Working within a team of support engineers to maintain the developer estate, resolve technical queries, implement system changes, and triage to specialists where appropriate.
• Working with a wide range of constantly adapting technologies and skills across all business needs.
• Improve tools and processes via automation, scripting, and development.

Requirements

• Strong academic record in mathematics and science; takes an analytic approach to problem solving.
• An enthusiastic team player with good attention to detail.
• Open to receiving constructive feedback, a keen desire to learn.
• Ability to seek support from the appropriate channels/resources or to independently research an issue e.g. using Google Search and Co-Pilot.
• Strong communication skills; you will be interacting with a wide range of people with many different backgrounds.
• Familiarity with a Linux Operating System is preferable.
