Telecoms Facilities Manager
Role Description
The Telecoms Facilities Manager will provide management of NI Water Telecoms Radio Tower Infrastructure, direct and manage the Telecoms Facilities Team in the following main tasks.
- Oversee the administration of 90+ license agreements with 3rd party licensees
- Manage 3rd Party Projects implemented by Mobile and Broadband Operators.
- Provide support for the maintenance, operation, and integrity of Telecoms Radio Tower Infrastructure.
- Liaise with Operation & Maintenance Contractors undertaking projects.
- Organise and supervise Ground Maintenance Works at Radio Tower Sites.
NI Water radio tower infrastructure, is a significant integral component supporting NI Water core business, including corporate and telemetry communications.
This requires overall tower site management for the 100+ established sites throughout NI and the administration of 90+ license agreements with 3rd party licensees.
The Telecoms Facilities Manager is responsible for the generation of annual rental income and associated financial management of telecommunication tower site sharing facilities and managing the various aspects of site sharing between NI Water and third parties, including projects, negotiations with internal/external legal and financial representatives.
Major activities include the advancement, development, planning and delivery of the NI Water Policy for the use of Departmental land for the erection of telecommunication apparatus.
NI Water Corporate and Telemetry Communications depend upon the Radio Tower Infrastructure for day-to-day business operations.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. 3rd level qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Telecommunications, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 2 years’ experience in management of Telecoms, Electrical & Mechanical or Civil Engineering Projects
OR
5+ years’ experience management of Telecoms, Electrical & Mechanical or Civil Engineering Projects.
2. 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within the telecommunications industry
3. Demonstrable experience of Estate Management regarding telecommunications sites
4. Demonstrable experience of Civil Engineering specifications and practices
5. Extensive technical knowledge of radio tower structures and associated apparatus

Salary
This level 4 role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £39,740 to £48,570 per annum.
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
