Telesales Team LeaderLocation: Yate, BristolSalary: Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)Job type: Full time, permanent (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday)
Charles Saunders Ltd, a Bristol based independent wholesale company, are currently seeking a Full Time, Permanent, Telesales Team Leader to join our busy sales team based in Yate, Bristol.

The role
The Telesales Team Leader reports into the Commercial Sales Manager and is responsible for the daily management of the Telesales team, setting targets, monitoring output and motivating the team to meet targets.
Daily management of the Telesales Team; allocating calls, setting tasks and managing performanceProvide effective and reliable support to the Commercial Sales Manager, undertaking daily sales activities and administrative tasks as requestedProactive approach to creating and engaging an effective working environment enabling you to get the most out of your sales teamEncourage and motivate the team to achieve set targets and deliver excellent customer serviceWork closely with the Commercial Sales Manager to co-ordinate and evaluate targeted campaigns throughout the yearAct as a trusted intermediary between customers and other departments to ensure complete customer satisfactionAssist the Commercial Sales Manager with developing cost/time effective solutions to telesales issuesAccurately collate data for the team’s monthly incentive structureMonitor orders taken, level of calls, daily promotions and quality of information captured by the sales team on a daily basis – providing feedback where necessaryHandle inbound and outbound calls as necessary and monitor the answer phone system ensuring messages are transferred to the relevant department / individualAssist with sales administration tasks including; quotes, customer contracts and customer record and margin maintenance, processing advance product ordersHave an understanding of the company’s quality management system / standards, policies and vision and how the marketing department can adhere and contribute to theseManage telesales personnel;
Provide guidance, advice and training, where required, to members of the Telesales Team on sales and company related policies and procedures. Identify any skills shortages and liaise with the HR department to arrange training. Ensure there is adequate resource to complete telesales activities, manage employee absence and work with the HR department with recruitment activities as and when required. Monitor and manage telesales personnel performance. Conduct interviews, inductions, appraisals, disciplinaries, performance management meetings with assistance from the HR department. Assist telesales personnel with any issues and communicate any problems to the Commercial Sales Manager and HR department. Assist Commercial Sales Manager and HR department with payroll data.
Skills & Attributes
The Telesales Team Leader will be expected to have the following skills, should training be required please speak to the Commercial Sales Manager or HR department
Experience of sales and working in a sales environment.Good team management / supervisory skills with the ability to keep a team motivated.Excellent attention to detail and able to apply a high level of accuracy at all timesAbility to work alone with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and to work to deadlinesHonest, reliable, trustworthy character with a strong work ethic and a flexible and adaptable attitude to workFriendly, helpful, disposition with excellent customer service skills. Ease of building report with others.Good level of numeracy and literacy skillsComputer literate with proficient use of Microsoft office and the company’s internal lady lodge system and the ability to learn new systems.Clear understanding of the need for quality and the benefits of compliance.Good organisational and time management skills.
