SalaryOur prestigious client is seeking a Temporary Academic Officer to support with their academic administration for a few months, starting immediately.
The ideal candidate will have previously worked within academic administration, within the Oxford University ecosystem.
Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. The role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary Academic Officer Responsibilities
As the TemporaryAcademic Administrator some of your duties will include:
- Answering queries on email and face to face
- Liaising with academics and students
- Checking right to work and entering data accurately
- Liaising with finance for payments
- Producing correspondance
- Handling arrangements for degree ceremonies
Temporary Academic Officer Experience
The successful Temporary Academic Officer will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience within academic administration (within Oxford University)
- Proficiency with Microsoft packages, especially Excel (can write formulas, etc.), Word (mail merge, formatting etc)
- Experience with online communication and academic platforms
- Can consistently meet deadlines and can work within tight schedules;
- Able to respond professionally to queries ranging from potential students to senior academic staff.
