SalarySuccess Recruit are currently working with a Wholesaler in Central Essex who are seeking to recruit a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join their hardworking and friendly team.
The successful candidate will have a positive can-do attitude towards working within a busy team environment and with a hands-on approach to support the Office Manager within the Accounts Department.
The successful Temporary Accounts Assistant will be expected to:
- Be able to handle a varied workload with the ability to prioritise
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar position
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be willing to learn and be hands-on in other areas of the business when needed

Job Specification
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the Temporary Accounts Assistant will be to support the Accounts/Office Manager as well as other team members in accounts and general operations. It is a varied position where attention to detail is needed and good communication skills to build rapports with internal and external contacts.
Duties to include:
- Handling direct debits and all cash transactions from the drivers daily
- Running Excel and Sage reports to ensure the daily takings balance
- Sales & Purchase Ledger experience
- Ensure payment terms are being adhered to by each client
- Running aged debt reports daily and conduct relevant credit control
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Carry out the VAT returns
- Conducting month end and year end reporting
- Invoicing and Credits
- Creditors Reporting
- Direct Debit collections
This is an excellent position for a hardworking individual keen to develop their experience within Accounts with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities.
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8AM to 5PM
Salary: £12.50 - £14.00 per hour DOE
