The scheme gives you the opportunity to earn a wage whilst learning and working towards nationally recognised professional qualifications in your chosen career path. , , Who We’re Looking For, , The Disabled Children’s Team delivers targeted intervention programmes to disabled children and their families to build skills, improve understanding and support integration and independence. This is delivered through a time limited specially designed programme of work and an accredited skills model for which training will be provided., , The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and motivated. Good communication skills are crucial to the role as you will be required to interact effectively with a range of individuals including disabled children, family members, staff from partner agencies and members of the public., , To apply for this post, you must be aged 19 and over., , What Will You Study?, , All Apprentices will be supported to complete a QCF (Qualification Credit Framework, formerly NVQ) qualification in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People), Level 3 via a training provider or local college. , , What will you be paid?, , This is a fixed term post for a two-year period and will start in September. You will be paid National Minimum Wage dependent on age:, , , Benefits Package , , , Due to the Apprenticeship entry criteria, applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at level 3 or above in the role applied for., , For example, if you have a degree in Civil Engineering you will not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship post. However, you could apply for any other apprenticeship post. Any such applications will not be considered.
