An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our client and their small finance department on a temporary basis for a period of 6 – 9 months. Starting immediately, this is an exciting time to join the team, as you will be working on dynamic change projects due to recent growth.
A varied and fulfilling position, alongside the project work, you will be assisting with the day-to-day financial processing and running of the finance business function.
Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary Assistant Finance Manager Responsibilities
The role is broad with exposure across all areas of finance and key responsibilities will include:
- Day to day financial processing - budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals
- Assisting with yearend audit
- Working alongside the projects team in relation to budgets and reporting
- Financial analysis and processing

Temporary Assistant Finance Manager Requirements
It is essential you have a strong background in finance and experience in the areas of the job responsibilities, alongside the following:
- Ideally be part of fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Be a strong user of MS Office, especially Excel, and have the ability to pick up accounting systems quickly
- Highly numerate, strong accuracy and a keen problem solver
- You will have a positive approach, be self-motivated and a strong communicator
- Experience within the education sector would be desirable however not essential

Our client is located in Oxford (OX4). Due to the central location there is no onsite parking however has strong public transport links and great local amenities.
