Our client is seeking a proactive and dedicated Temporary Facilities and Estates Manager to oversee a range of critical duties for the next three months.
Working in beautiful surroundings in Central Oxford, the successful candidate will take control of all the maintenance and refurbishment projects on site, managing a small team of maintenance staff, as well as controlling budgets and adhering to planning regulations.
Please note, due to the needs of the team, there may be a requirement to work in an on call capacity occasionally, outside of standard working hours.
Temporary Facilities and Estates Manager Responsibilities
- Maintaining the department s master plan, planning spend and reviewing preventative programme
- Planning for refurbishments, preparing tenders and ensuring proposed works adhere to relevant regulations
- Stakeholder management building excellent relationships with builders, surveyors, architects, etc.
- Ensuing reactive maintenance is compliant and preventative maintenance is scheduled effectively
- Assigning maintenance tasks to team members; ensuring records are current
- Onboarding contractors, ensuring they are compliant
- In collaboration with Health and Safety personnel, ensuring all works adhere to current legislation, including risk assessments and PPE management
- Tracking budgets and costings

The successful candidate will have experience of:
- Working successfully in a similar role
- Leading a small team confidently
- Managing works from inception to execution
- Strong understanding of the planning process
- Controlling budgets effectively
- Using MS Office applications to a high standard in a similar position
Location
This is a full-time role, working 36.5 hours Monday Friday, but flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
