Our client in the EfW (Energy from Waste) sector, are recruiting a Temporary Works Supervisor to join them on the boiler contract on a new EFW facility in Birmingham
As the TW Supervisor you will ensure and be responsible for all temporary operations are planned, organised, and undertaken by competent persons – This is a physical role/boots on the ground inspections.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversees TWC structures and related items and overseeing design aspects of the TW
- Chairs co-ordination meetings between the various contractors on site to ensure the minimum hindrance to the construction work
- Designs and pre-plans the scaffold including weight limitations, scaffold type, fall protection, tie-offs, supports, etc.
- Carries out final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for use
- Inspects and documents the condition of the scaffold and its ability to be occupied safely
- Inspects scaffolds after changes / alterations have been made
- Oversees and inspects of mobile scaffolds
- Trains other competent persons, scaffold erectors, and users
- Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
- Keeps the Site Manager informed of all site-related activities
What you will need:
- Temporary works accredited training course
- Experience in a similar role on large construction projects
- Valid safety qualification such as CCNSG, CISRS, SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH or similair

- 58 hours, 10 hour days, with Saturdays.
