CMOstores.com ltd are seeking a diligent, analytical, and highly skilled Software Tester / Test Engineer to join our development team. You will have full autonomy and freedom for architecting and implementing an automated testing strategy to meet our business needs aimed at our top projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the adoption of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to enhance processes and improve the development approach. Communicate with external stakeholders to enable delivering high quality software.
· Automated Testing Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive automated testing strategy to achieve CI/CD goals. Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and product iterations. Write and maintain automated scripts to support regression testing. Perform various types of testing such as functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, accessibility, performance, security etc. Making sure the data fixtures are created and used in the tests.
· Process Analysis: Analyse existing business processes to ensure tests cover all critical areas and scenarios. Review product requirements, specifications and technical designs to provide testing perspective and help identify defects early.
· Documentation: Log, document, track, analyse and prioritise defects found during testing. Re-test fixes to confirm resolution.
· Research: Identify, research and recommend test automation frameworks, tools and improvements to the testing process. Generate understandable test status reports, metrics and maintain updated test documentation.
· ROI Estimates: Create testing return on investment (ROI) estimates as part of the overall testing strategy.

Requirements
· 3+ years experience as a software tester, QA analyst or automated Test Engineer, ideally in a senior role but not a requirement.
· Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills.
· Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, testing methodologies and automation tools.
· Hands-on experience with test management & defect tracking tools like JIRA.
· Experience working in waterfall and agile development environments.
· Proficiency in PHP or another equivalent programming language. Knowledge of PHP will be an advantage.
· Strong knowledge of automated testing tools such as PHPUnit, Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
· Familiarity with CI/CD strategies and tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, CircleCI, and Travis CI.
· Understanding of QA best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes is beneficial but not mandatory.
· Experience working in an ecommerce environment, understanding the unique challenges and requirements related to online retail.
· Experience working with and enhancing legacy codebases, demonstrating the ability to integrate modern testing practices into existing systems.
