The main duties of the Theatre PractitionerOrthopaedic Scrub role include:
- Providing safe and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative phase is a primary objective. Additionally, aiding in the coordination and administration of care within the Operating Department is essential.
- Supporting the delivery of patient care.
- Contributing to advancements in quality improvement.
- Facilitating the growth of skills and knowledge in oneself and others.
- Advocating and practicing the best evidence-based methodologies within one's scope of practice.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Valid registration with either the NMC or HCPC.
- Possession of a Nurse or ODP degree.
- Prior experience in a theatre environment, specifically within Ophthalmic services, is essential.
- Possession of ILS certification.
- Certification in mentorship.
- 1st level registered nurse with current experience in Theatre within an acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
