Supports and assists the matron for patient safety and safe staffing in the promotion, development and sustainability of a patient safety culture. Undertakes a wide range of interventions in order to support the patient safety team in the delivery of patient safety initiatives, enabling the Trust to deliver sustainable improvements care. Contribute to high quality patient safety by utilising improvement methodology to support our clinical teams in improving the quality of care given to patients across the Trust. Facilitate and monitor progress of relevant patient safety improvement initiatives. To ensure that work is completed within timescales, meeting the required quality standards e.g. level of service is provided, thoroughness, adherence to quality measures and protocols. To support equality and diversity in relation to the actions and responsibilities of everyone. To participate in the design and implementation of a structured audit programme. Gather, analyse and report a wide range of data and information. Disseminate knowledge and skills to all staff across the Trust to enable ward teams to take forward service improvement initiatives.
