Income OfficerLocal Operations

 

Clockwise Wood Green, London – N22

 

£28,620 per year

 

30 hours per week – to be worked over 4 days

 

Temporary position for up to 12 months

 

We have an excellent opportunity for an Income OfficerLocal Operations to join our Housing Income Team in London. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality income and debt recovery service, agile working, covering a designated area. You will join a team of 9 and on a typical day, you will be out and about, visiting tenant homes to recover the rental debt and identify alternative methods of payments. You will be required to support tenants to sustain their tenancies by signposting, income maximisation and use of negotiation skills. You will serve notices, attend court and work alongside key stakeholders. A log of interactions on SAP system is required to keep records in line with pre action protocol to ensure records are up to date and accurate. So if you are reliable, have the ability to work on your own, using your own initiative then this could be the role for you.

 

The role of Income OfficerLocal Operations will include:

  • Ensuring accounts in arrears are managed effectively, resolving queries and escalations as appropriate
  • Engaging with customers to ensure barriers for rent payments are addressed through the provision of high quality advice and support
  • Developing, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, residents, staff including housing and letting teams and a range of external organisations and agencies
  • Producing statistical information against key performance indicators, allowing for accurate recording and performance monitoring
  • Meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements for income management activities (including court attendance and evictions), referring to policies and procedures where necessary
  • Conducting visits and attending court hearings to secure possessions over properties
  • Extensive travel and lone working

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience within a housing management, debt collection and income related environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proven knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and good practice is essential
  • Demonstrable experience of administration relating to customer service and complaints
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word & Outlook) is essential
  • A strong ability to priorities work load, working to deadlines
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
