ROLE
Reporting to the Head Grounds person the Track Team Leader is to oversee, and work on, all aspects of the Flat and National Hunt courses and grounds maintenance and upkeep, operating machinery and tractor driving as required. Responsibilities include supervising the Grounds team in their day-to-day work and managing the team in the absence of the Head Grounds person. Ensuring that all areas of the racecourse are presented to the highest possible standards and in line with the requirements of The Board and BHA legislation.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The desired candidate;
• To have at least managed or supervised grounds staff on a day-to-day basis.
• To have experience in general grounds maintenance.
• To be able to operate the relevant machinery that the team will be using.
• Ideally to have IOG, Level 2, Turf Management qualification or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid Full UK Driver’s license or equivalent.
