As a Trade E-commerce Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the e-commerce strategy for the company's trade business.


This role involves overseeing the online sales platforms and driving revenue growth through effective e-commerce initiatives.
This role will focus on the customer journey of our two channels. You will focus on identifying gaps and help us better engage with trade customers.
This role is office based at our HQ near Birmingham New Street.
About the Role:
Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy for the trade business segment.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align e-commerce goals with overall business objectives.

Platform Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platforms, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Implement and optimise features that enhance the trade customer journey and satisfaction.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Plan and execute trade-specific marketing campaigns to drive traffic and increase conversion rates.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive email marketing strategy, including segmentation, content creation and automation.
  • Lead the development of engaging and relevant content to educate the audience.
  • Curate regular newsletters providing updates on new products, industry news and trends.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilise analytics tools to track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for the trade e-commerce channels and marketing efforts.
  • Collate and analyse sales data to provide a market overview and trends.
  • Generate regular reports on e-commerce, email, content and newsletter marketing performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

User Experience Enhancement:

  • Continuously assess and enhance the user experience on the trade e-commerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with Development and Design teams to implement UX/UI improvements based on user feedback and industry best practices.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Development, Design and Fulfilment to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to trade e-commerce.

Market Research:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and emerging technologies in e-commerce.
  • Use market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.


About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience in e-commerce management with a focus on trade.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of trade industry trends and best practices.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (preferably Shopify), technologies and digital marketing strategies.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
