Trainee, Graduate and Assistant Estimators

Paye Stonework and Restoration Ltd is a leading company specialising in stonework and restoration projects. With a rich history of delivering high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, we take pride in preserving architectural heritage while meeting the evolving needs of modern construction.

We are currently looking to expand the estimating team and add new trainees, graduates and Assistant Estimators.

The roles offer an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in estimating within the stonework and restoration industry. You you will work closely with our experienced estimating team to learn the intricacies of estimating costs, preparing bids, and assisting in project planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in analysing project requirements and specifications.
• Learn to accurately estimate material, labour, and equipment costs for projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids.
• Develop proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
• Support the estimating team in preparing and submitting competitive bids.
• Participate in project meetings and site visits to gain practical knowledge.

Requirements:

• A strong interest in construction, stonework, or restoration projects.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and techniques (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
