Trainee Management Accountant - Responsibilities include:

• Review and verify Supplier invoices and their accompanying payment requests to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
• Prepare Invoice batches and posting them to the accounts payable system on a daily basis, to ensure payments are processed in time for the weekly deadlines.
• Prepare Supplier and Expenses payment runs for authorisation by Senior Management.
• Retrieve and match invoices to the Payment Register
• Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries from Suppliers, Clients and Consultants of the status of their payments.
• Review and post Company Credit Card transactions.

Trainee Management Accountant - Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired:

• Knowledge of ERP/MRP Systems an advantage
• Be conversant with Sales, Purchase and General Ledgers
• Knowledge and experience of SAGE 50 or equivalent Financial Accounting System
• AAT Qualified or degree level graduate.
• Possess a good understanding of MS Office including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organisational & time management skills & the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• Motivation to study an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
