We are looking for a Trainee Transport & Warehouse planner for our Transport Office team based in Millbrook, Larne.
In house training will be provided and you will be required to start off being the essential administrative support to the transport manager, whilst gaining knowledge and experience in planning routes for a variety of local vehicles in Northern Ireland.
You will then be developed through on the job training to achieve consolidating a variety of loads in the most efficient way possible and managing drivers in order to achieve all targets. It will be required that you assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, booking in deliveries and liaising with drivers on issue resolution.
The ideal candidate will have;
· Experience of transport planning and storage warehousing.
· Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland
Understandably, your communication skills need to be second- to- none. We will also be looking for an applicant that can demonstrate a talent for solving problems, attention to detail and an ability to thrive under pressure.
Computer literacy is essential to this position, and we do prefer candidates to have had experience in a similar role and a flexible, adaptable approach to their work.
A forklift license is preferred but not essential.
Working hours are Monday- Friday, 6am to 3pm. Occasional Saturday morning may be required occasionally to meet the needs of the business.
