The HR department at the British Museum is evolving. We recently signed off on a new HR strategy which aims to ensure that we provide first class support to the leadership and management teams of the British Museum and British Museum Company Ltd. We provide high quality strategic and operational HR advice to support the Museum in the growth and Development required to meet a series of ambitious and challenging organisational strategic objectives. About the role

We now have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in the role of Training and Development Advisor: Digital. This role will join our Training and Development team who provide effective support for management and staff development in line with our HR Strategy, through the design, delivery, promotion, administration and evaluation of classroom and digital development solutions for our diverse workforce.

The role will have a specific focus on developing cyber security, general security awareness and digital training solutions.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Designing and delivering a cyber security course and a general security awareness course, to be delivered in person via classroom, Teams or a mix
  • Designing digital cyber security and general security awareness courses for a new Learning Management System
  • Management of accurate Training and Development data collection, analysis and reporting to a wide range of stakeholders including senior managers
  • Supporting the creation of other digital learning for the Learning Management System
  • Leading on the promotion and delivery of the digital courses
  • Undertaking administration related to the cyber security and general security awareness Training and supporting all elements of training administration across the wider training team

About you:

You will have completed or be working towards obtaining your Certificate in Training Practice (or you’ll otherwise able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills gained through experience) and your previous roles will have been in a Training and Development environment, with experience of designing and delivering Training and particularly delivering via eLearning or other digital learning applications.

You will need to be able to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of relevant best practice and you’ll also have proven high levels of PC literacy and analytical skills, strong attention to detail and an ability to evaluate, report on and respond effectively to data.

To succeed in this role you will be able to show your creative approach to delivering development solutions and to provide evidence of how you successfully build effective working relationships; contribute to the outputs of a high performing team and demonstrate effective assertiveness and influencing skills.
