What you'll do
You'll review pricing provided via trading for FX forwards and possibly other products, as well as review execution strategies and pricing in line with the best execution obligations. We'll expect you to provide support across the team in technical activities and projects, such as automation of the best execution monitoring.
Working with senior stakeholders across the bank, you'll look to drive forward the development and delivery of remedial action plans where identified risks are considered out of appetite. On top of this, you'll be supporting a culture of proactive and pre-emptive risk management and continuous improvement, and the attainment of operational risk objectives.
You'll also be:
- Coaching and supporting colleagues across the bank to improve understanding and embed a proactive risk culture
- Analysing pricing outputs and developing metrics to inform decision making
- Educating teams on the operational risk framework and our conduct risk obligations, supporting the trading and sales teams in operating and embedding them
- Supporting and regularly engaging with relevant stakeholders including second and third lines of defence, and risk teams
- Ensuring internal and external stakeholder satisfaction by delivering risk and control actions in a timely manner
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be a highly skilled leader with experience of applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context. You'll also need excellent communication skills in order to lead the team, as well as have the ability to negotiate with, and influence, stakeholders across the bank.
It'll be an advantage if you have experience with pricing models used for fixed income products and associated inputs such as trading marking methodology necessary to evaluate best execution, as will be experience working in trading or on derivatives pricing models. We'll also consider it beneficial if you have an understanding of behaviours and risks related to market abuse and the forms it may take, along with knowledge of the regulatory environment and the practical implementation thereof such as MiFID, COBS, CRD and similar. Additionally, p rogramming skills in Python will also be an advantage in understanding scripted deals.
