We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join the Transactional Services Team. As Transactional & Insurance Team Leader you will support the Head of Transactional Services & Insurance in the provision of high-quality purchase ledger, sales ledger and banking services. You will also have an exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the provision of our group insurances and claims handling. You will have previous purchase ledger, sales ledger and banking experience and will be expected to work to tight deadlines, providing exceptional customer service to all our stakeholders
In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Transactional & Insurance Team Leader will involve:
Oversee and assure the quality of end-to-end processes within Transactional Services (Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Banking & Insurance)
Work with the Transactional Services Team to analyse financial data and process flows and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and improved customer satisfaction.
Lead projects to review and optimise existing procedures in alignment with regulatory, financial, and audit controls.
To undertake regular testing of procedures to ensure accuracy/ consistency and efficiency of the end to end Transactional Services processes. Reporting to management/working groups of any deviations or control issues identified.
To undertake any new system/process testing in line with project requirements and deadlines.
Manage the insurance claims processes, ensuring timely and appropriate handling of claims; liaising with loss adjusters, underwriters and claims investigators in reaching agreement on the proposed settlement and repudiation of claims.
Provide insurance advice to operational teams and management on claims, emerging insurance risks, and claims defensibility.
Assist in writing and presenting reports to various committees and Board as needed.
Assist the Head of Transactional Services & Insurance in monitoring the performance of internal and external service providers, ensuring they comply with agreed service and performance levels.
Work collaboratively with your team and with colleagues across the organisation, in particular finance colleagues and operational budget holders within Citizen; sharing information to resolve issues and improve processes.
Step into Team Leader roles in their absence, ensuring seamless operations.
Organise and deliver training and support to the team for any changes in processes, systems, or regulations.
As Transactional & Insurance Team Leader we need you to have:
Experience of working individually and part of a team to achieve performance targets, identify any barriers to achieving these targets and agreeing remedial actions with management.
Experience and demonstration of continuous improvement in the quality and delivery of services to customers including developing your own skills, knowledge and experience to positively influence customer satisfaction and the achievement of key performance indicators and business objectives.
Ability to manage stakeholder communications to resolve queries and promote good working relationships. Examples include budget holders, suppliers, insurance underwriters, solicitors and debt collection agencies.
Ability to act as a source of advice and provide guidance to team members and the wider organisation.
Ability to use positive, solutions-focused language in all communications and remaining optimistic even in challenging circumstances.
Taking ownership & responsibility for issues within the role and taking constructive action where appropriate, whilst maintaining internal/external relationships.
Experience within an account s environment providing accurate, reliable and timely financial information to internal and external customers.
Knowledge of computerised accounting systems, in particular Banking, Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.
Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel, to include:VLOOKUP and pivots.
