Key Responsibilities: As a Transport Administrator, you will be an integral part of the team, supporting the Transport Manager and colleagues in various day-to-day tasks. Your responsibilities will include planning and arranging loads, managing collections, and handling routine and ad hoc transport administration tasks. Your ability to gain valuable experience in different facets of the team will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the company.
Key Tasks: Your day-to-day tasks will be diverse and challenging, ranging from planning loads in collaboration with the Transport Manager to assisting with load, driver, and vehicle administration to meet legal and FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) requirements. You may also be involved in invoicing, advising customers on loads, reviewing new orders, arranging carrier deliveries, and assisting with other transport administration duties as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with relevant managers to maintain and develop quality procedures and systems.
- Ensure compliance with Company and Statutory Health and Safety, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), and Environmental requirements.
- Follow operational and procedural guidelines to ensure IT/Business System integrity.
- Undertake any other ad hoc tasks reasonably requested by your direct line managers or directors.
